Columbia, not Colombia

So, in case you haven't heard already (which, if you're reading this blog, is highly unlikely as I doubt I have many [any?] readers that I don't actually know personally)...

I got in to grad school!

And I had three awesome schools to choose from (Warning: shameless, obnoxious bragging ahead): Georgetown, Berkeley, and Columbia (in chronological order of acceptance decisions received)!

And I chose Columbia (the School of International and Public Affairs, to be specific)!

And I'm starting classes tomorrow!!!

I've played my cards close to the vest in the last few months, which has basically resulted in this blog going dark. I had (still have!!) a lot to do to prepare for school (I am now an experienced victim of the New York real estate scene), but hopefully I'll get this blog up and running again with my grad school adventures (I'm doing an MPA-DP, btw).

p.s. I've still been blogging pretty regularly at Alanna Shaik's development blog, www.bloodandmilk.org. Check me out there (almost) every Friday!

How are you girl? It's been way too long.

SO, the big news of 2013: www.globalthemes.org is back in action and you need to be there. Come, come, come!
